About the online student services system
DSP's online student student services system (SCARAB) handles student applications, academic accommodation letters, auxiliary services, case recording, documentation and other administrative and operational processes.
Students
You must first apply, and qualify, for DSP services before you can use the system. Please follow the instructions on the Request Services page. Once you qualify for DSP services you may log in to the system to apply for services, request academic accommodation letters, auxiliary services, review the status of your service requests, whether auxiliary services have been approved, and manage your service provider accounts.
Faculty
No sign up is necessary; all you need is your Calnet ID in order to log in to the SCARAB system. Once logged in you will be able to see your student’s accommodation letters and the status of students receiving notetaking services. You may also assign proxies (GSIs and others) the right to sign-in to see the accommodations letters and to help arrange for the provision of accommodations such as extended test time and proctoring.
Service Providers
You must sign up as a service provider, in person, at the DSP office. After that you may use SCARAB to establish your provider account and submit timesheets for reporting hours worked.
Important Notes
- Access to DSP's student services system (SCARAB) is through CalNet.
- For best compatibility with the SCARAB system we recommend Internet Explorer and JAWS.
